PURPOSE, PROGRAM
The Twelfth School on Quantum Electronics "Laser
Physics and Applications" will take place from 23 to 28 September
2002, near the Black Sea resort city of Varna. This is a traditional
event, organized biennially since 1980 by the Institute of Electronics
at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and recently co-organized
by SPIE Bulgaria Chapter with the purpose of providing a meeting
place for researchers mainly from Eastern and Central European
countries. Leading scientists are invited to deliver lectures
on "hot" topics in the fundamentals of laser physics
and applications of lasers, grouped as follows:
